Twitter Super Follow

When will Twitter Super Follows work on Android?

The big Twitter news this week is the arrival of Super Follows, a paid subscription service where your favorite tweeter’s posts will now be behind a paywall. The service rolled out yesterday, allowing accounts with over 10,000 followers to charge a fee for their exclusive content. So far, there’s only confirmation for Twitter Super Follows on iOS – so when will Twitter Super Follows work on Android?

Twitter Super Follows Android release date

Twitter Super Follows

Currently, there isn’t a release date for Twitter Super Follows on Android. The feature is currently in an open testing stage, which is only for iOS. However, Twitter have confirmed it’ll come to Android devices in the future.

That’s direct from a Twitter Super Follows FAQ, and it’s good news for Android fans wanting to use Super Follows in the future. The official line is that Twitter “plan to include Android and web as [they] roll out more broadly.” Therefore, it’s one to keep an eye on in the future.

The feature is still in the very early stages, so it’s bound to emerge on more platforms once it finds its feet on Twitter. The Super Follows scheme allows U.S. Twitters users meeting the criteria to monetize their content. This involves exclusive tweets sent only to Super Followers, as well as further interactions. It’s the first time Twitter have tried to directly monetize their concept, and the first time avid tweeters can make money off their habit.

However, it seems like Android users will have to wait until they can capitalize on this new opportunity. There’s no given date for Twitter Super Follows to work on Android. If this first period of testing goes well, we’re bound to hear more about it soon.

In other news, Watch Dogs Legion is free to play over this weekend – unless you’re on Xbox. There’s also been a new leak for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, with
