Carol is tied with Daryl as the character that’s been on The Walking Dead longest. While other significant figures have been in the dirt for seasons now, the once meek Carol has persevered to become one of the most tenacious and deadly of the group.
However, fans are wondering whether Carol will die in The Walking Dead Season 11. All bets are off as we move into the final episodes of the series, and she might not be able to dodge death yet again.
Will Carol die in The Walking Dead Season 11?
As of the end of episode 4 of The Walking Dead Season 11, Carol is still alive.
Carol is the series’ biggest wildcard. Her comic counterpart didn’t even make it a quarter of the way through the story, but TV show Carol has survived longer than anyone except for Daryl (who was introduced in the same episode she was). Time and time again, Carol has reinvented herself to survive the harsh realities of the post-apocalyptic world and to protect those she loves, and she’s definitely the most adaptable member of the group.
We learn in episode 1 of The Walking Dead Season 11, Carol is in Alexandria. She declined to go with Maggie’s group, so she’ll likely be staying there for the foreseeable future. Since quite a few major players are left in Alexandria (including Rosita), the action is panning back to that group for part of the season. So far, the only active threats to Alexandria is starvation and the Reapers, but that gang seems more intent on killing Maggie than invading the group’s territory.
Carol is doing her best to help the group, but her attitude might make her butt heads with the others. She’ll also likely be pushed to take more and more risks to procure food for Alexandria, which might lead her to draw the ire of another group.
At this point, we only expect Carol to die of her own volition. We doubt at this point that anyone could manage to get the drop on her, but she may end up sacrificing herself for someone else. However, there will be a spinoff series featuring Daryl and Carol, so we’d imagine that both of them are safe from the reaper in season 11.
