The Walking Dead Season 11 Episode 2: Who’s attacking the group at the end of the episode?

Maggie’s group gets attacked at the end of episode 2 of The Walking Dead, Season 11, and it’s not immediately obvious who’s behind it. The crew of Alexandria are trying to make it through Washington D.C. and head to Maggie’s former settlement of Meridian to fight the Reapers who killed everyone there and took it over, but are they the ones assaulting the group at the end of the episode? We take a look at who’s responsible for attacking our heroes below.

While it’s not explicitly stated, the group that attacks Maggie, Darryl, Dog, Negan, and party at the end of season 11, episode 2, is likely the Reapers.

The Reapers were introduced in season 10, but we don’t know much about them yet. We’ve only seen one of them, but according to Maggie, they’re ferocious and were able to slaughter everyone in Meridian, the settlement she lived in during her absence. Since Alexandria is low on food, Maggie and her group are trying to make it to Merdian, which is still filled with supplies.

Supposedly, the Reapers are a small group of very aggressive survivors that wear masks and are armed with a wide variety of weapons. Unfortunately, the only solid info given about them so far is that their leader is named Pope and that he has “marked” Maggie for death.

Despite their imposing nature, the Reapers are only slated to be the antagonists for the first half of the season. Presumably, we can expect a big confrontation with them in one of the upcoming episodes, and we’ll likely finally see Meridian for the first time.

The Reapers seem to be one of the deadliest groups our heroes have encountered so far, and we’ve already seen them take casualties in the conclusion of episode 2. We don’t know what’s coming for sure, but I’m getting prepared for some tearful goodbyes.
