All the Marvel Future Revolution heroes available at launch can be found below, and while the game’s launch day is off to a bit of a rocky start players are still flocking in to enjoy the game. But what are the Marvel Future Revolution hero rankings? Let’s have a look.
Marvel Future Revolution tier list: All best characters
Here’s the full ranked tier list for all eight of the Marvel Future Revolution heroes available at the game’s launch, from best to worst. This list will be updated as more heroes become available or characters get buffed or nerfed in patches. Bear in mind that none of these heroes are actually bad, but some are easier to play as than others.
1. IRON MAN
Control Difficulty: 1 star. There’s a reason why Iron Man is the only one star-rated control difficulty character. He’s very straightforward to play, can attack enemies from a long distance, and all his abilities do extreme amounts of damage quickly.
2. CAPTAIN MARVEL
Control Difficulty: 3 stars. Captain Marvel is one of the most powerful Marvel heroes and that’s reflected here, with some extreme cosmic powers that can take down enemies quickly. She’s not very quick to move, though.
3. STAR-LORD
Control Difficulty: 3 stars. Ignoring his space weaponry, Peter Quill is currently the only gun-based character in the game, so simply tapping the basic attack will target enemies without Star-Lord getting close. His abilities do good damage, too, so definitely a worthwhile hero to continue with.
4. STORM
Control Difficulty: 2 stars. The only member of the X-Men currently in the game, Storm has some fantastic area-of-effect powers that can both do major damage or inflict some major debuffs to multiple opponents. However, she needs to get closer than necessary to do her basic attacks.
5. SPIDER-MAN
Control Difficulty: 4 stars. The best of the melee-focused characters currently in the game, Spider-Man’s webs, quick movements, and devastating swing powers help to make him a more capable character than his comparative limited ability set suggests. He’s undoubtedly fun to play as, too, with the power to tie enemies up defenseless in cocoons a really useful one.
6. DOCTOR STRANGE
Control Difficulty: 2 stars. Stephen Strange is currently Marvel Future Revolution’s only support character, with powers that can enhance other players’ abilities. That doesn’t make him less powerful, however, as he has some great debuff and area-of-effect abilities too — from slowing enemies down to outright nuking them with portals.
7. CAPTAIN AMERICA
Control Difficulty: 4 stars. Steve Rogers’ Captain America has high defense and can buff himself to give and take even more damage, even through enemy armor, so he’s a useful character for anyone wanting to wade into the fray head-on. That said, his move-set is highly melee-focused, and that goes for most of his abilities too. He’s a tank character, basically.
8. BLACK WIDOW
Control Difficulty: 5 stars. Natasha Romanoff — the only hero here to have their own movie or series so far this year — is the only character to get a five-star control difficulty rating, so she’s definitely a hero who’s more challenging to play than the others on this list. She’s not a bad character to choose, but she’s trickier to master than the other Marvel Future Revolution heroes. Black Widow has some cool stealth abilities, but she’s a highly melee-focused close-range character and is lacking the toughness of Captain America or the strong abilities of Spider-Man.
That’s the Marvel Future Revolution ranked tier list as it stands today. Elsewhere with the game, a few of the voice actors have been revealed, and here’s how to play it with a controller for a more fun experience overall.
