The player’s primary adversary in 12 Minutes is the cop. This mysterious man crashes in on the player character and his wife and turns their life upside down. So, it’s natural to assume that knocking out or killing the cop in 12 Minutes is one of the game’s primary objectives. Here’s how to do it.
How to knock out and kill the cop in 12 Minutes
It may seem like the cop is unstoppable in 12 Minutes, but the player can kill him. However, he’s much too strong to take a direct approach. Though it seems like the player character gets better at fighting him the more times a user tries to kill him, he always managed to take us out one way or another.
The key to killing the cop in 12 Minutes is to knock him out first. Only when he’s incapacitated can the player deliver a coup de grace and eliminate the intruder.
So far, we’ve only found one way to knock out and kill the cop in 12 Minutes. Follow these steps to accomplish this grisly task:
- Grab the knife on the kitchen counter.
- Go into the bedroom and flip the light switch on and off once.
- Either kill or incapacitate the wife.
- Hide in the closet until the cop arrives (time should pass automatically).
- When he arrives, the cop will search the house.
- Then, when he flips the light switch on in the bedroom, it’ll electrocute him and knock him out.
- Now, move into the bedroom and use the knife on the cop twice to kill him.
Once the cop is dead, the player can search his body to find:
- Two sets of zip-tie restraints.
- A knife
- A revolver
- A cellphone.
The easiest thing to screw up when setting a trap for the cop is leaving the wife conscious. If she is aware when the cop arrives, she’ll give away the player’s location, which will prevent the cop from using the light switch.
