Elden Ring Where is Tanith After Volcano Manor

Elden Ring Tanith After Volcano Manor: What Do You Do After Giving Her the Dancer’s Castanets?

In Elden Ring, Tanith is in charge of Volcano Manor and runs the recusant faction. After players kill Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy, and obtain his Great Rune, she leaves the manor along with all the other surviving NPCs that inhabit it. Many players won’t run into her again, but she does appear at one more location in the game. There, players can give Tanith the Dancer’s Castanets that Patches asks them to deliver.

Where does Tanith go after leaving Volcano Manor in Elden Ring?

Elden Ring Tanith Rykard

The twist with Tanith’s story in Elden Ring is that she never technically leaves the grounds of the manor. Players can find her in the same area they fought Rykard in and speak with her one last time.

She has this to say:

“Oh, you…

Allow me some time.

Our Lord’s carcass is vast, and not easily consumed.

Dear Rykard, please find purchase within me, I wish to be your serpent; your family.

One day, let us devour the gods together.”

Oh, yeah, she’s eating what remains of Rykard’s corpse. She’s gone totally off her rocker, and she’ll spend the rest of the game here trying to consume the remains. If players attack her, she’ll drop her gear. Her Crucible Knight bodyguard will then appear and attack. If defeated, it will drop Aspects of the Crucible: Breath.

Unfortunately, Tanith’s hubris caused her downfall, and it seems her final fate is to attempt to consume Rykard’s body in an attempt to resurrect him.

What do you do after giving Tanith the Dancer’s Castanets?

If players meet Patches at Shaded Castle, he’ll ask them to give Tanith the Dancer’s Castanets to snap her out of her malaise. Her armor set explains that before she met Rykard, she was a dancer:

“Long ago, when Rykard first set eyes on Tanith, she was working as a dancer in a foreign land. Soon, he made her his consort.

She was the only human to remain by his side when he became the serpent of blasphemy.

In that moment, Tanith was truly charmed by him.”

Unfortunately, giving her the castanets only produces one line from her:

“What is it?

I have no need of that.

I must continue devouring my beloved lord…”

After that, she continues to repeat the dialog she had previously. It seems like this might be the end for her as no further dialog has been found for her. Perhaps she’ll play a part in a future DLC, or her final fate is to try to resurrect Rykard by devouring his remains futilely.
