Bugsnax Steam

What is the Bugsnax Steam release date?

Despite launching on PS5 and Epic Games Store last year, Steam players still can’t play Bugsnax. The adorable collect-em-all game, made by the producers of Octodad, still isn’t available on the Steam store. Fear not though, as developers Young Horses have recently given some insight into when Bugsnax will launch on Steam. Read on to find out the Bugsnax Steam release date.

When is Bugsnax releasing on Steam?

Bugsnax Steam

While there isn’t a concrete Bugsnax Steam release date yet, Young Horses have confirmed the game for a 2022 launch on Steam. Therefore, it should be out by the end of next year.

The new development comes thanks to Kevin Zuhn, Creative Director at Young Horses. There’s going to be “a few juicy surprises to get people talkin’ about Bugsnax later this year,” a statement provided to GamingBolt confirms. He also says the developers are “buzzing with excitement” to release Bugsnax on Steam. There’s even a page for the game on Steam now, proving a release is definitely being worked on.

The re-release could involve new features if these “juicy surprises” are anything to go by. Of course, that’s pure speculation, but Young Horses clearly have something in store to mark the game’s Steam debut.

Equally, there’s no concrete mention of a release date here, so all we know is that it’ll release at some point in 2022. It’s very likely that the announcements due in late 2021 will specify a release window — but for now, we’ll have to wait and see.

The good news is that Bugsnax is guaranteed to come to Steam by the end of 2022. It means a whole new audience will be able to experience the colorful adventures on Snaktooth Island. All we need now is a date to mark in calendars!

In other news, Spider-Man’s debut in Marvel’s Avengers is still set for this year. We’ve also got a review of the HexGaming Rival PS5 Controller.
