How to get new cards in Back 4 Blood and build a deck

In Back 4 Blood, cards can make a significant difference for each match. Players can create a deck and draw modifiers before loading up the map. So, getting new cards and making the best deck possible is something users will want to look into. Unfortunately, the game doesn’t give players too much info on constructing decks or getting new cards.

While the final game will likely have more options when it comes to gathering cards, we’ve only found one in the open beta. Right now, to get new permanent cards in Back 4 Blood, players will need to unlock them via the Supply Lines menu by spending supplies.

However, there is also a way to get temporary cards in the campaign that only last for one run. The game can randomly generate folders in each map that allow each player on a team to draw one card. We’ve found two types of folders so far. One lets users draw one of the cards in their deck at random, while the other allows players to draw from all possible cards.

Unfortunately, there’s no way to get the full experience of building a deck in the open beta. Players don’t start with enough cards to even fill a single deck to the max. Additionally, there are not enough cards to earn in the beta to make thinking about deck composition a big deal.

With campaign decks, players should just slide every card they have into it. For versus decks, it’s best to pick from one of the four premade ones. Fortunately, there will likely be a lot more options to make a deck with in the final game, as this is a major mechanic.

We’ll update this guide with all the best card strategies when the final game debuts on October 12.
