Is there a Black Widow Iron Man appearance, or any other major Marvel character cameos in the latest MCU movie? We’ve seen it, so here are the answers. Spoilers for Black Widow follow!

Is there a Black Widow Iron Man cameo by Robert Downey Jr?

Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man/Tony Stark does not appear in Black Widow, even as a picture, although he is referenced once by Natasha. Yelena (Florence Pugh) suggests getting Natasha (Scarlett Johansson) to ask for Tony Stark’s help, but as Black Widow is set following Natasha’s betrayal of Tony in Captain America: Civil War they are not on speaking terms at this time.

However, despite the absence of Robert Downey Jr, there are a couple of significant Marvel characters who make a cameo appearance in Black Widow. William Hurt’s General Ross returns from The Incredible Hulk and Captain America: Civil War for a couple of scenes where he and his team try to arrest Natasha, but the biggest surprises come in Black Widow’s post-credits scene. Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), last seen in The Falcon And The Winter Soldier Disney+ series, is revealed to have Yelena in her employ, and she gives Yelena her next target — Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), which sets up his upcoming show.
