Windows 11 is coming, and many users with 2-in-1 laptops won’t be prepared for it. Win 11 has some fairly stringent system requirements, including the need for TPM 2.0 (which may or may not be enforced in the release version). As such, many will likely want to upgrade to one of the best Windows 11 2-in-1 laptops.
We’ve collected a series of 2-in-1 laptops below that are among the best available. While these PCs currently come with Windows 10 Home or Pro, they’re all Windows 11 ready. That means when the new OS rolls out later this year, users can install it on day one.
Best Windows 11 2-in-1 laptops
The laptops below all meet the requirements for Windows 11. Since all Windows 10 users get a free upgrade to the new OS, those who use these models can upgrade as soon as it’s officially released (or earlier if they want to try a beta build).
Microsoft Surface Book 3
- CPU: Intel Core i7-1065G7
- RAM: 32GB DDR4
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660
- Storage: 1TB SSD
Microsoft’s Surface line is perhaps the most recognizable Windows laptop brand. The Surface Book 3 is the top-of-the-line model and is the 2-in-1 to beat. However, it’s priced to match, and for the same amount of money, users could purchase two of (almost) every other product on the list. Adding insult to (financial) injury, the Surface Pen must be bought separately, which adds another $70 to use the Surface Book 3 to its full potential.

HP Envy x360
- CPU: Intel Core i7-1165G7
- RAM: 8GB DDR4
- GPU: Intel Iris Xe Graphics
- Storage: 512GB SSD
The HP Envy x360 is a premium laptop for a not-so-premium price. Brand recognition for HP has gone down in recent years, but this former tech giant still has plenty to offer. Long battery time, excellent build quality, and good performance (for an ultrabook) set the x360 above many of its more recognizable peers.

Samsung Galaxy Book Flex 13.3″
- CPU: Intel Core i7-1065G7
- RAM: 8GB DDR4
- GPU: Intel Iris Plus Graphics
- Storage: 512 GB SSD
Samsung has brought its QLED technology to laptops giving the Galaxy Book Flex one of the brightest screens in this form factor. This 2-in-1 also includes Samsung’s S-Pen technology. It even includes the stylus so users won’t have to make a second purchase.

Microsoft Surface Pro 7
- CPU: Intel Core i5-1035G4
- RAM: 8GB DDR4
- GPU: Intel Iris Plus Graphics
- Storage: 128GB SSD
The Surface Pro 7 is less versatile than the other products on our list. Still, it’s perfect for those that are more interested in using a laptop primarily in tablet mode. The device itself only comes with the main unit. The type cover and Surface Pen must be sold separately, which most users will want. Even with the extra purchases, this is a great device and typically can be found cheaper than other entries on the list.

Dell XPS 13 2-in-1
- CPU: Intel Core i7-1065G7
- RAM: 16GB DDR4
- GPU: Intel Iris Plus Graphics
- Storage: 512GB SSD
Those that want a more discrete 2-in-1 should look no further than the Dell XPS 13. Aside from the subdued logo on the top, this laptop is very austere in its presentation. Despite this, it’s a fully loaded ultrabook. It is excellent for productivity (but, like other laptops on our list, not so much gaming). Unfortunately, like with the Surface devices, the stylus must be purchased separately, which adds another $80-90 to the overall price.
