Is Star Wars Battlefront 2 free on PC?
Star Wars Battlefront 2 is currently free on PC through the Epic Games Store from January 14, 2021 to January 21, 2021. This special deal gives players the Celebration Edition, which includes a ton of content from over the years like content from all three trilogies, 350 customization options, and more. This deal just requires an Epic account and lasts until January 21, 2021 at a 8 AM PT. Since it doesn’t even require a membership, it is worth jumping on, especially since it has improved so considerably since launch.
Subscribing to EA Play or EA Play Pro another way to get Battlefront 2 on PC without paying full price. This subscription service gives access to EA’s vault, which includes Battlefront 2.
Is Star Wars Battlefront 2 free on PS4?
Star Wars Battlefront 2 is currently not free on PS4. However, PlayStation Plus subscribers got Battlefront 2 as one of the two PlayStation Plus titles in June 2020. As long as it was added to the library during that month, it will be playable until that PS+ subscription lapses. It’s technically not free since PS+ is a paid service, but this method stops players from having to pay full price for the game. The game also runs well on a PS5 through backwards compatibility at a dynamic 1800p resolution with a locked 60 frames per second. It is not, as of this writing, on PlayStation Now.
Is Star Wars Battlefront 2 free on Xbox One?
Star Wars Battlefront 2 is not currently free on Xbox One either. But unlike PS4, it was never offered in any of the Games With Gold months. However, Battlefront 2 (along with other Star Wars games like Jedi Fallen Order and the 2015 Battlefront) is on Xbox Game Pass, meaning anyone with a console Game Pass sub can play the game as part of their subscription.
Given all the players playing the game through all of these services, the game has been going through some troubles, too. For example, some players are getting stuck in loading screens or hitting various error codes like 721 and 623.
