Black Ops Cold War Update 1.09 Patch Notes

Black Ops Cold War 1.09 Update Patch Notes

The Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War update 1.09 patch notes (1.009 on PS5) are out, and they’re not nearly as impressive as yesterday’s. The Black Ops Cold War 1.09 update seems centered on fixing issues on the PS5 that were introduced with the 1.08 patch that preceded the release of Season One. Additionally, the new Cold War patch may have eliminated the ZED 398 issue that prevented some PC players from playing the new maps.

Black Ops Cold War 1.08 Update Patch Notes

In contrast to yesterday’s 1.08 patch, these notes are pretty bare. Players can look at the Cold War 1.09 update as a hotfix for bugs some were facing with the Season One content.

The patch notes for Cold War 1.09 are:

  • Addressed a bug related to a multiplayer map.
  • Added fixes for different modes.
  • Fixed audio-related issues.
  • Fixed game crashing issues.
  • Addressed game loading issues.
  • Addressed various network connection issues.
  • Other minor bug fixes.

There are two big problems this patch addresses, which should alleviate the frustrations players were feeling after the 1.08 update. PS5 players will notice that the update should have eliminated some of the performance issues they were having with hitching and stuttering. Additionally, the ZED 398 error PC players encountered when joining the new maps should be fixed.

Black Ops Cold War Update 1.09 Patch Download Size

In contrast to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, the Black Ops Cold War patches are relatively small. The update 1.09 patch download size is:

  • PC: 2.6GB
  • PS4: 1.8GB
  • PS5: 3.1GB
  • Xbox: 2.77GB

Again, players shouldn’t expect any big content drops with Cold War patch 1.09. This update is merely a hotfix to eliminate the issues that came with update 1.08. Now, players across all platforms should be able to enjoy the Cold War Season One content in both Black Ops Cold War and Warzone without any significant issues. Expect more updates to come for the game as the season progresses.
