VERSION 2.84

  • Stability fixes to improve Fortnite.

The above patch notes are from the not-so-generous PS4 Update History. We await further confirmation from Epic Games about what exactly the new Fortnite update does. Rest assured that it at least tackles “stability,” meaning you should enjoy a more consistent experience across the game’s modes.

Over on the Fortnite Community Trello, the top priorities for Fortnite Battle Royale include a problem with Silver Surfer’s Board causing PS4 and Nintendo Switch systems to sometimes crash.

Glider audio from opponents is also sometimes missing, which of course means they can sneak up behind you without being heard.

Issues with purchasing or gifting the Chapter 2 Season 4 Battle Pass are also being investigated. This is obviously a big issue for Epic Games, as that is one of its ways of generating revenue from players.

It’s not clear if the new update today fixes any of these issues, but we’ll be sure to let you know as we learn more.

In other Fortnite news, the iPhone Season 4 update release date has been delayed. Here’s what you need to know.

Also, there are a few rumors floating about regarding a potential Spider-Man skin. Here’s the latest on that.

Here’s hoping we get a Fortnite 2.85 update soon, with plenty of new content for players to enjoy. Though we’ve only just started a new season, I know this community is always looking for the next big content drop!
