Fortnite Spider-Man skin | Is Spidey being added to the game?
At the time of writing, there’s been no official confirmation that a Fortnite Spider-Man skin is coming out. Despite this, an in-game hint has led to speculation that a Spider-Man Fortnite skin may be added to the Item Shop soon.
Reliable leaker HYPEX spotted a Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 Spider-Man Achievement following the most recent update. Noting that one of the new Achievements features a “Spiderman logo,” the data miner went on to speculate that “we might see [Spider-Man] in the Item Shop later this season.”

That isn’t concrete evidence that we’ll be getting a Fortnite Spider-Man skin in the near future, of course. However, Spidey’s addition as paid DLC would make a lot of sense. You can unlock a ton of Fortnite Marvel skins in the Chapter 2 Season 4 Battle Pass, but Marvel’s biggest hero is conspicuously absent.
Having the wall-crawler appear as a standalone purchase would make his introduction an event in itself. It’d certainly be more lucrative for both Epic Games and Marvel, too. When you also consider that Spider-Man is branching out to make an appearance in Marvel’s Avengers (as a PlayStation exclusive character) — a game that Fortnite has a history of collaborating with — the likelihood seems to grow.
Whether a potential Fortnite Spider-Man skin would be exclusive to PlayStation as well remains to be seen. It isn’t a guarantee, however, with Spidey appearing in 2019’s Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 on Nintendo Switch.
