Amid the recent Fortnite Mobile controversy a new Battle Royale patch has been released. Here are the complete Fortnite update 2.80 patch notes for you to study. These changes impact Fortnite on Mac, PS4, and Xbox One. Due to the Fortnite Mobile delisted issue — affecting both the iOS and Android versions — updates will not be available on mobile for the foreseeable future.
Fortnite Update 2.80 Patch Notes
Fortnite update 2.80 is a maintenance patch intended to improve stability on PS4, Xbox One, and Mac. As well as general stability fixes, Fortnite patch 2.80 addresses a couple of skin texture bugs found in the Mac version.
Confirmation of the changes comes from the Fortnite Status Twitter account:

Although it isn’t particularly exciting, added stability can prevent headaches in the future. Mac players will also be pleased to know that the Vix and Aquaman skin texture glitches have been addressed, allowing them to appear in all of their intended glory.

Although Epic Games attempted to shame Apple with its iOS V-Bucks discount, it’s good to see that the developer is still supporting the Mac version. If you’re wondering what discount we’re talking about, then Epic recently implemented the Mega Drop offer allowing for in-game savings. This had people eager to work out the new price of items, though didn’t last long on mobile due to the swift delistings by platform holders.
Hopefully, the next Fortnite patch will be something more substantial and worth getting excited about. With Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 fast approaching, that could well be the case. It’s just unfortunate that the mobile versions of Fortnite most likely won’t be getting access to the new content. Thankfully, other major platforms shouldn’t be affected and the update will be available as planned.
