Fortnite 2.78 Update Notes Notes (13.30)

The Fortnite 13.30 update patch notes are being released for PC alongside the Fortnite 2.78 update patch notes for PS4, with the game’s server status appearing offline as Epic Games deploys the latest update. The servers went offline on July 21, with the company’s official Fortnite Status account revealing that downtime has now begun and players will be informed when they go back online.

The new Fortnite 13.30 and 2.78 update is expected to make the watery battleground introduced in Chapter 2 Season 3 recede, revealing more of the map and new locations. Players are also expecting the introduction of vehicles, though this has been unconfirmed thus far.

A bunch of new content that has been added to the game by Epic has been revealed by HypeX, a Fortnite leaker with a stellar track record of showing off what is included in these new updates before they go live.

Fortnite 13.30 / 2.78 Patch Notes

The following are the tentative patch notes for the Fortnite 13.30 and 2.78 update, consisting of fixes that Epic has announced will take place with this brand new update. The full list of updates has yet to be revealed, though we know that the following changes will be coming:

Battle Royale

  • Supply Drops at The Authority not opening when searched.
  • Floating Rings not visible on platforms with lower settings.
  • Black rectangles appearing behind player when turning around in the Storm.
  • Gliding not working properly around The Authority.

Save the World

  • Goin Constructor animation issue.
  • Ammo is consumed when a weapon is dropped and picked up.

Mobile

  • Players names are cut off in voice chat tab of social menu
