When is the Renegade dance coming to Fortnite?

Fortnite Renegade dance release date

According to data miner HYPEX (@HYPEX), the Fortnite Renegade dance release date is July 18. The new Renegade Emote will be available to purchase from the Fortnite Item Shop starting Saturday, July 18, 2020.

Do note that in the absence of official confirmation from developer Epic Games, this could be inaccurate or subject to change. HYPEX does have a strong track record, however.

The Renegade dance is reportedly a Rare Emote (blue), which means it should be available to purchase for 500 V-Bucks. That translates to around $5, or potentially less taking into account any bonuses to be had when buying V-Bucks in quantity. Since HYPEX referenced the Item Shop, the Fortnite Renegade Emote is unlikely to be obtainable through gameplay.

If you’re unfamiliar with the Renegade dance, it’s a social media sensation that started on TikTok. It incorporates multiple popular dance steps (like the dab) into one routine set to the song “Lottery” by K-Camp. With the dance craze taking off in real life, it was only a matter of time before it hit Fortnite.
