When is the Stardew Valley 1.5 release date? Fans of Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone’s stellar Farming RPG are anxious to get their hands on more content. The Stardew Valley Content Update 1.5 release date will add banana trees, some neat endgame goodies, and more, but when will you be able to play it?
ConcernedApe first announced that the Stardew Valley Content Update 1.5 was in development back in late February 2020 right as the game approached its four-year anniversary.
“Thanks everyone for the [Stardew Valley] 4-year anniversary wishes,” ConcernedApe said in a tweet. “It’s been a pleasure, and I look forward to another great year! Now that 1.4 is out on all intended platforms, I’d like to announce that there will be another free content update (1.5)..it’s currently in the works!”
Since then, there’s been a trickle of news about this next content update. New banana fruit trees are going to be arriving as part of this patch, and Willy’s shop will be getting some kind of end-game content for players to enjoy. That just leaves one question left: when will you be able to play it?
When is the Stardew Valley 1.5 Release Date?
If you’re wondering “When is the Stardew Valley 1.5 release date?,” there’s some bad news: ConcernedApe hasn’t yet announced a firm release date for the next content patch just yet. That said, we can make a reasonable guess as to when we can expect it.
Previously, it took ConcernedApe roughly a year and some change to make a content update ready for this game. We can probably look forward to this next content update making its debut sometime towards the end of 2020 at the earliest, at least for PC players.
Console and mobile players, however, are likely to have a longer wait. Traditionally, Stardew Valley updates go to beta on PC first. They then get a PC release, and the console and mobile updates follow sometime after that. You may be in for a bit of a wait, but it’s sure to be worth it.
