Looking at Ellie, she could go anywhere to try and start a new life, or chase after Dina. Abby, on the other hand, will likely search for Fireflies with Lev. Of course, a new game could focus on totally new characters in a different part of the infected world.

Developer Naughty Dog has yet to confirm that a The Last of Us 3 is planned, and likely won’t talk about it for a long while yet. However, with the ending to Part 2 teasing at a potential follow-up, it’s likely that a The Last of Us Part 3 will be made. This is especially true when you consider just how well the game has sold.
