The Xenoblade Chronicles Overworked and Underpaid quest can be found in Chapter 2 in the Commercial District in Colony 9. Overworked and Underpaid gives you two options to complete it. You can either convince Giorgio to continue working or consult a relative, his daughter, Paola, to solve the issue.
The choice you make during Overworked and Underpaid in Xenoblade Chronicles determines which one of two side quests will become available for you next. Just remember, if you choose one route, the side quest unlocked by the other will be barred to you for this playthrough.

Xenoblade Chronicles Overworked and Underpaid Pre-requisites:
To unlock Overworked and Underpaid, you must accomplish the following:
- Gain access to Tephra Cave.
- Complete the A Curry Conundrum side quest
- Reach ☆2 affinity in Colony 9
Once you’ve accomplished the above, you can accept the mission by visiting Giorgio’s booth between 0600-1800.
Xenoblade Chronicles Overworked and Underpaid | How do I convince Giorgio?
Giorgio is working his tail off, and he’s starting to falter. When you approach him for the quest, he asks you to collect three Fresh Armu Milk from Armus. If you take this route through Overworked and Underpaid, you’ll pay attention to his request and get him the milk that will restore his energy and keep him slinging curry.
Getting the Fresh Armu Milk is really simple. Head over to Marcia, who is also in the Commercial District, and trade for the milk. The milk only has a trade value of 300 G, and three will only run you 900 G, so you should be able to afford it comfortably.
When you bring the milk back to Giorgio he’ll be revitalized, and you’ll receive:
- +100 Reputation
- 3,000 G
- 300 EXP
- HP Up II
This will also unlock the Pestering Paola side quest.
Xenoblade Chronicles Overworked and Underpaid | How do I consult a relative?
Instead of granting Giorgio’s wishes, you can instead consult a relative to get their opinion. You can find Giorgio’s daughter, Paola, in an alleyway east of the Commercial District. Speak with her, and she’ll let you in on her plan to help her father.
To complete the quest, you’ll need to head to Tephra Cave and proceed through to Vilia Lake. There, gather three pieces of Insanity Mint or purchase them for Gorman at the Refugee Camp. Once you’ve got the mint, return to Paola and then head back to Giorgio’s curry stand to finish the mission.
For completing the B route you get:
- +100 Reputation
- 3,000 G
- 300 EXP
- Ether Def Up II
Taking this route also changes the Affinity Chart. Paola and Giorgio will now inherit the green Happy Family status.
After completing the B route, you’ll be able to take on the Out-of-Luck Giorgio side quest.
