WWE 2K Battlegrounds is a spiritual successor to popular arcade wrestling game WWE All-Stars — essentially, it’s WWE All-Stars 2 in all but name. That title boasted an incredible suite of playable WWE Superstars and Legends, so how does the WWE 2K Battlegrounds roster hold up by comparison?
Keep reading to learn every confirmed male and female wrestlers featured in the WWE 2K Battlegrounds roster.
Confirmed WWE 2K Battlegrounds Roster | Superstars and Legends
Unlike THQ’s WWE All-Stars, which featured an entirely male roster, WWE 2K Battlegrounds is set to bring exaggerated versions of female wrestlers to the table for the first time. Two female Superstars featured in the Battlegrounds reveal trailer: “The Man” Becky Lynch and “The Queen” Charlotte Flair, daughter of legendary WWE Hall of Famer “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair.

Full WWE 2K Battlegrounds roster list
- Becky Lynch
- Charlotte Flair
- John Cena
- “Stone Cold” Steve Austin
- The Rock
As you can see, three legendary male wrestlers also feature on the WWE 2K Battlegrounds roster (so far). Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson stands alongside “Stone Cold” Steve Austin in the game’s key art, seen above, while John Cena can be spied in the reveal trailer.
While seeing John Cena is novel enough in and of itself, what’s even crazier is that he’s thrown into the open mouth of an alligator to open the trailer! That should serve to set the tone for 2K Battlegrounds moving forward; it’s an over-the-top take on WWE, unlike the mainline WWE 2K simulation series. With WWE 2K21 having been cancelled, Battlegrounds will essentially serve as a stand-in title this year.
Stick with GameRevolution for updates as more of the WWE 2K Battlegrounds roster is confirmed. Presumably, it’s only a matter of time until current major Superstars like Drew McIntyre, “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt, Roman Reigns, and Brock Lesnar get announced.
