The Animal Crossing: New Horizons 1.1.1 update patch notes (A.K.A. update 1.5) are now available to read. There is still ongoing server maintenance, so the update may take a little while to be downloaded to your Nintendo Switch. The good news is that the new Animal Crossing: New Horizons patch is relatively small, meaning you can download and install it quickly, before then getting back to picking fruit, fishing, and all of that other fun stuff. Read on for the full list of Animal Crossing: New Horizons patch notes.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons Patch Notes | Update 1.1.1
The 1.1.1 update is the first patch rolled out after the game’s launch. While Animal Crossing: New Horizons has launched in an overall well-polished state, there are a few niggles that post-launch support could help iron out. Being able to skip text more quickly, bulk buy more items, and more quality-of-life assists would no doubt be welcome.

However, the new Animal Crossing: New Horizons patch notes only detail one vague change:
Animal Crossing: New Horizons 1.1.1 Update
- Fixes a major issue impacting game balance.
It’s not clear what this “major issue” is, but it’s unlikely to affect time travel, as the developer has already confirmed that it’s a legitimate way to play.
Another exploit is the duplication glitch, which allows players to make copies of items and then sell them for unlimited profit. It’s likely that this update targets this exploit, making it no longer possible. We’ll confirm this as soon as possible.
Update: Reddit user “darthonenut” claims the Animal Crossing: New Horizons duplication glitch has now been fixed with this patch.
