How to unlock the Midas skin in Fortnite

If you want to unlock the Midas skin in Fortnite, you’ll need to max out the Chapter 2 Season 2 Battle Pass by earning enough Battle Stars to hit Tier 100. In order to do so, you’ll need to remain committed to the game throughout the duration of the current Battle Pass and ensure that you reach the max rank before the scheduled end date.

ALSO: Should I choose Ghost or Shadow in Fortnite?

You’ll earn plenty of rewards along the way, but only by reaching the top of the mountain is it possible to unlock Midas. Like many of the new Fortnite cosmetics, Midas’ appearance can be changed depending on whether you choose Ghost or Shadow. Ghost Midas is dressed in a snappy white and light grey suit, whereas Shadow Midas is decked out all in black.

Both characters have solid gold skin and hair, as you might expect from somebody not-so-subtly named after King Midas from Greek mythology. Just like in the myth, wearing the Midas Fortnite skin allows any weapons, vehicles, and accessories that Midas touches to be turned gold.

It’s a sweet hidden ability that definitely makes sinking the time, effort, and money into earning the Fortnite Midas skin totally worthwhile for any dedicated fan.
