The Ring in the New Year limited-time Tower event will be freely available to all MK11 owners starting Saturday, December 28. It’s scheduled to run through Thursday, January 2, giving players a few days to complete the three available Towers accessible via the game’s Towers of Time mode.

Ring in the New Year Towers will feature celebratory modifiers, which must be overcome to reap the available in-game rewards. Rewards include character skins, player module pieces, holiday-specific konsumables, and more. No specifics are available beyond that, so you’ll need to go elbow-deep in viscera and find out for yourself when the MK11 New Year event launches next week.

If you’re wondering what party-themed New Year modifiers you’ll encounter across the three seasonal Towers, Mortal Kombat 11 publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment shared the following:

Disco Ball, Champagne Bottles, Party Poppers, Fireworks, and a Digital Countdown Clock.

Presumably, those party poppers will pack more of a punch than their real-world equivalent. Still, we could think of worse ways to spend New Year’s Eve than staying in to share fireworks and a little bit o’ the bubbly with Scorpion, Sub Zero, and the rest of the Mortal Kombat gang.

If you’ve got different plans, just be sure to finish all three MK11 Ring in the New Year Towers before the event concludes on January 2.
