Halo Combat Evolved PC Release Date | When will Halo 1 be added to The Master Chief Collection?
Unfortunately, no firm release date or window has been confirmed for Combat Evolved Anniversary on PC through The Master Chief Collection. Thankfully, however, we do know somewhat vague details surrounding the Halo 1 PC beta testing release date. This means that we can make an educated guess as to when Halo 1 will make its triumphant return on PC through Steam and The Master Chief Collection on or around Spring 2020.

We know that the Halo 1 PC beta flighting will begin at some point following the Christmas holidays. Thanks to PCGamesN, we know that 343 is planning on having a little rest before it jumps into testing for Halo 1 on PC. Sadly, no exact release date has been given for the beta as of writing. All we know is that it will begin soon, presumably sometime in January 2020.
No time-frame for the length of the beta has been given, either. We know that Halo Reach PC beta testing began towards the end of June 2019, before eventually releasing to the public on December 3, 2019. Hopefully, beta testing for Combat Evolved Anniversary doesn’t take as long. Halo Reach represented a first stab at Halo on PC through The Master Chief Collection. We can hope that lessons learned from its lengthy beta have been taken into account for Combat Evolved Anniversary. Reach was new for Xbox One, too, so development would have taken longer thanks to that. It should be a quicker process for Halo 1.
Although no time-frame has been given, we can imagine that the Halo 1 beta won’t take as long as Reach. Therefore, we can imagine seeing a Halo Combat Evolved PC release date of around Spring 2020. Hopefully, 343 Industries or Microsoft can update us with release date information soon.
