Respawn managed to reinvigorate the Star Wars video games franchise with the tremendously accomplished Jedi: Fallen Order. While the makers of Apex Legends and Titanfall 3 (or so we hope) are renowned for being a talented and reliable studio, the truth is that they don’t have many games under their wing. However, the overwhelming success of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has once again proved Respawn’s expertise and is making many fans of the epic saga demand a Jedi: Fallen Order 2 release date. It’s not as simple as that though, so let’s investigate.
Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order 2 Release Date | Is a Jedi Fallen Order sequel in the making?
Jedi: Fallen Order was developed to hold its own as a standalone piece of the Star Wars narrative, while being canon. Back in April, Electronic Arts’ community manager Jay Ingram said that there were no plans for DLC, because the team wanted to go for a “strong, self-contained story. “That’s the priority,”, Ingram added.

However, many months have passed and the endless compliments from very pleased Star Wars fans will almost certainly lead to a change of plans. Electronic Arts surely isn’t shying away from a couple of expansions, but there is also the likeliness of a full-fledged sequel being in the works.
The ending wraps up things quite nicely but leaves the doors entirely open for new stories starring Cal Kestus and some very familiar faces from the franchise. Respawn seems to be quite capable of creating great tales with utter respect and admiration for the Star Wars saga, and if the opportunity arises, bolstered by fan encouragement, it won’t refuse the challenge.
While a Jedi: Fallen Order 2 release date is yet unknown, the original game became the fastest-selling digital launch for a Star Wars game in its first two weeks, and the announcement of a sequel is almost inevitable. In the meantime, we’ll keep an eye out for everything related to Jedi: Fallen Order 2 and you can find all the updates right here as they are released.
