The Hearthstone Battleground beta is here and sign-ups are now available. Revealed not long ago at BlizzCon, Battleground is an eight-player auto-battling mode of Hearthstone. Those as BlizzCon were able to get their hands on a demo, but now the beta is available to all. Here is how to sign up for the Hearthstone Battleground open beta.

Hearthstone Battleground open beta

As we mentioned above, the Hearthstone Battleground open beta is now available. The good news here is that to sign-up, all you have to do is launch an updated version of Hearthstone. Unlike other betas, there isn’t anything special you have to do, and everyone will be able to try their hand at Battleground.

ALSO: Things you might have missed in the BlizzCon 2019 Opening Ceremony

When you start Battlestone, it’ll begin with 24 different heroes — each unique in their own special way. It’ll be up to you to recruit and strategize with your heroes as you face off against opponents to try and assure a win.

As the match begins, you’ll go back and forth with other players in a mental match, with the best strategist coming out on top. Instead of building card sets, you’ll be building a constantly changing board of Minions as you visit Bob’s Tavern during matches and between rounds.

Hearthstone Battlegrounds will be free to download but will offer microtransactions throughout the game. For example, players will have the chance to buy Descent of Dragon packs, which will unlock different perks, Heroes, and other in-game items.

However, it is important to note that as you play through the game naturally, you’ll be able to earn gold and unlock Descent of Dragon packs for free. At the end of the day, how you decide to play is up to you. To get started, update the latest version of Hearthstone, hop into a game, visit Bob’s Tavern, and get ready for some Battlegrounds.
