At long last Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is here, the trouble is, its launch has not gone entirely smoothly and there is an annoying Modern Warfare weapon camo not unlocking bug. You could say that the weapon camos have “gone dark.” Jokes aside, the bug is annoying as you should be able to easily unlock and equip weapon skins. Thankfully, we’re here to let you in on a handy Modern Warfare weapon camo not unlocking bug fix. Time to make your guns look fancy again, soldier.
Modern Warfare Weapon Camo Not Unlocking Bug Fix
As stated above, there is an annoying bug in Modern Warfare that is making it so you are unable to equip any weapon camos you may have unlocked. Many of you have been taking to places such as Reddit to air your frustrations. With good reason, we might add. Applying weapon camos has long been a staple in Call of Duty online multiplayer. That extra layer of customization has and always will be a nice feature of the games.

Thankfully, there is a quick Modern Warfare weapon camo not unlocking bug fix that you can apply. In order to fix the weapon camo error in Modern Warfare 2019, all you need to do is restart the game. You may have seen this fix already in the Reddit thread we linked to above. The same fix is suggested to work in this separate Reddit thread, too.
While restarting the game should unlock your earned weapon camos for use, it is still annoying. No one wants to have to restart any game in order for one of its simple functions to work. Hopefully, Infinity Ward can fix the annoying weapon camo bug in an update. Sooner rather than later would be nice, too, we don’t want to keep restarting the game to make our guns look nicer.
