SimCity (2013) City Buildings: Mass Transit Reference Guide

City Buildings - Mass Transit Reference Guide

Traffic jams are a notable and noticable issue. No matter how well you lay out your roads and highways, it's only a matter of time before there are way too many cars clogging streets and stopping at intersections. As the arteries of your city, transportation is a necesary component in keeping your city healthy, by allowing every citizen go where they need to be in the least amount of time, especially when it comes to police, firefighters, and ambulances.

Mass transit initially begins with a bus depot and several well-placed bus stops around the city, but eventually gives way to streetcars meant for high-density avenues. For this, it's suggested that you start every city with a medium-density road from the highway so that it can be upgraded to a streetcar-ready high density avenue once you have the cash. These mass transit systems will also allow tourists to get from one place to the next easily and therefore spend more cash at your landmarks.
