Rage 2 Roadmap

As part of the Rage 2 Roadmap for 2019, everyone will be given free DLC that will bring new content to the game. Right now Bethesda has released its plans for May right through to the Fall, and each month will bring a host of new things to its open world title.

There will be plenty to keep you busy post-launch, no matter whether that will be an in-game event, new weapons, different skins, or any other thing that Bethesda, id Software, and Avalanche Studios can think of. To save you the trouble of scrounging through various announcements, we’ve handily listed what each month will bring below. Have a browse, and see what Rage 2 will be offering you down the line.

May

  • Rage 2 launches story-driven campaign with plenty to explore in this open world action-adventure shooter
  • Wasteland challenges weekly community challenges that players can take part in. Complete these tasks within a set time frame to earn free skins
  • Weapon skins  new items to adorn your weapons. The first of these, which will be available as a reward for completing Wasteland challenges, is the Vomit Comet Pistol skin
  • “Bring the Ruckus” World Event — an in-game event featuring Ruckus the Crusher mutant

June

  • Day 30 update — first major patch that will usher in a new wave of content
  • Wasteland challenges
  • Weapon Skins
  • New cheat codes codes that players can use in-game to help make their playthroughs more enjoyable. If you want to know more about these, read our guide on them here
  • “Mech Yourself Before You Wreck Yourself” World Event — new drivable mech will be patched into the game for players to use during this community event
  • New enemy faction — a new foe that players will be able to take on. Expect more information to be given post-launch

July

  • One Wheeler vehicle — new vehicle for players to use when traversing Rage 2‘s large map
  • Wasteland challenges
  • Weapon Skins
  • Cheat codes
  • “Global Worming” World Event — a new in-game event that is likely to pit players against worm-like creatures in a bid to earn new weapons and other gear

August

  • Wasteland challenges
  • Weapon Skins
  • “Mutant Derby” World Event — a new in-game event that is likely to feature races against mutants across various tracks on the map

September and beyond

  • Wasteland challenges
  • Weapon Skins
  • “Rageisode 2: Attack of the Drones” World Event — a new event that patches in a new enemy for players to fight. Expected to be a parody of Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones, but no official word on what form these Drones will take

With that free DLC out of the way, you’re probably wondering about what paid DLC will be part of the Rage 2 Roadmap. There will be two paid expansions coming to the game later on this year. The first will be called “Rise of the Ghosts,” but there hasn’t been any confirmation about the name for the second batch of DLC just yet.

Like the free DLC above, we’ve listed what you can expect to get for your hard-earned cash down below. Rise of the Ghosts

  • New story and enemy faction for players to deal with. Said to be based around the Ghosts faction from Rage 1
  • New areas of the map to explore
  • New vehicles, weapons, and abilities for players to acquire
  • Comes free as part of the Rage 2 Deluxe Edition or Collector’s Edition when you pre-order either version of the game

Star Citizen is an upcoming space trading and combat simulator video game for Microsoft Windows. Star Citizen will consist of two main components: first person space combat and trading in a massively multiplayer persistent universe and customizable private servers (known as Star Citizen), and a branching single-player game (known as Squadron 42). The game will also feature VR support.
