The Kingdom Hearts 3 Proof of Promises certificate is a surprising new addition to the game’s just-released Critical Mode. It’s already been confusing some players thanks to randomly appearing in Sora’s item inventory out of nowhere, but there’s no need to worry about figuring out what the Proof of Promises does, as you’ll soon see.
Kingdom Hearts 3 Proof of Promises | What is the new KH 3 certificate?
As of writing, all we really know about the Kingdom Hearts 3 Proof of Promises certificate is that it’s a fairly benign item that could tie into future plans for the series, specifically when it comes to DLC. It reads: “A certificate awarded to those who have collected all the luck from worlds other.”
Other than that, it’s just a mark of accomplishment, proof that you’ve collected all 90 Lucky Emblems, which is no easy task in itself.
It doesn’t appear to have any use, nor can it be discarded or sold. Right now, it’s just a nice memento and nothing more. That is, until we find all of the Proofs and put any potential puzzle together.
How to unlock Proof of Promises and Proof of Times Past in Kingdom Hearts 3
As mentioned above, you’ll need to have collected all 90 Lucky Emblems on your first run through in KH 3 to unlock Proof of Promises. However, you can easily miss it if you head straight on to a New Game Plus mode immediately. Instead, you’ll need to boot up your original save, which will then showcase the Proof of Promises in your inventory. You can then move on to a New Game Plus with the Proof of Promises still intact.
But another Kingdom Hearts 3 certificate has also been found. As per ligero_miguel on Twitter, you can unlock the Proof of Times Past by beating Kingdom Hearts 3 on Critical Mode. It remains to be seen if there are any more Proofs out there but, trust me, the hunt is on.
