Fortnite is constantly getting new game modes to keep their players entertained. Recently, a The Floor is Lava game mode made its way into the game, and players loved it. The latest LTM mode is called Fortnite Deep Fried, and it’s a new mix of gameplay elements pulled from both Food Fight and The Floor is Lava. So, what exactly is the new Fortnite Deep Fried LTM and how do you play?
What is the new Fortnite Deep Fried LTM
Simply put, the Fortnite Deep Fried LTM is a mixture between Food Fight and the Floor is Lava. If you know what those are, then you’ll know exactly how to play the Fortnite Deep Fried LTM. However, if you don’t know how to play either of those, then Deep Fried can be a bit confusing.
If you are unfamiliar with The Floor is Lava, you can read about it here. Essentially, it is your normal game of Fortnite except there is lava all over the map, which is slowly rising. As you play, the lava continues to consume the map and rise, forcing players to get to a higher elevation. This forces players to engage in close combat or suffer a fiery death. By the end of the game, there is little to no safe ground left, and players must build over the lava to survive.
Food Fight, on the other hand, is similar to the 50v50 mode, where players are on two different teams. In Food Fight, players must defend their team’s mascot, either a giant hamburger or a giant tomato. A wall is placed in the middle of the map with a countdown timer, and it allows players to gather materials before the actual “food fight” begins. Once the time is up, the wall disappears, and players try to destroy the other team’s mascot while protecting their own. If you die, you’re able to respawn.
Now, put all of that together and you get the new Fortnite Deep Fried mode. The game is similar to that of Food Fight except players have to worry about that lava constantly rising and will need to take the fight above ground. Players can check out Deep Fried in Fortnite now, but it is a limited-time-mode, so it won’t be around forever!
