Moving from cover to cover and around the corners of covers can be painfully slow, especially when the gunfights become frantic.

The Division 2 Cover Movement Speed Increase | What’s the problem?

The Division 2 Cover Movement Speed Increase

While it shouldn’t prove to be much of an issue for early game players, when The Division 2 increases in difficulty, you may find that you’re getting frustrated by how slowly your character moves from cover to cover and around corners. What should be a quick hop over to a cover closer to your adversaries can take far too long. What’s more, the slow cover movement even affects how quickly you can turn corners on cover.

Simply put, it’s sluggish. You’ll end up taking more than a few shots on your lengthy trips between covers and around corners. Thankfully, there is a way to speed the cornering process up, at least.

The Division 2 Cover Movement Speed Increase

If you’re finding that your character is moving too slowly between or around covers, don’t worry, it’s nothing you’re doing wrong. That’s just the default movement speed. All you need to do is head into the options menu to speed the movement up.

As you can see in the image above, simply head into the options menu and jump into the controls section. Once inside there, scroll down until you find the “Move Around Corners Speed” option. This is automatically set to slow as default. Switch this to fast and you should now navigate cover corners more quickly. In reality, it seems as though your movement speed doesn’t increase, but the progression arrow will fill faster, which will save you precious seconds in the heat of a gunfight.
