Despite there only currently being eight of them, Apex Legends has a diverse set of characters, each with their own styles, personality, and combat specializations. Developer Respawn Entertainment has clearly made an effort to make their cast interesting, instead of going for the usual soldier clones. What’s more, players can go beyond the set default styles, customizing characters further with skins, banners, quips, and finishers. (This is, of course, also how this free-to-play battle royale game is monetized.) Despite the bevy of personalization options you can find here, many of those familiar with Fortnite may be wondering where the other options are. “Where are the Apex Legends emotes?” “Can I dab and floss dance in Apex Legends?” For those who have become accustomed to having a range of emotes available, ready to bust out at a moment’s notice, these are important questions. Here’s what you need to know about Apex Legends emotes.
Apex Legends Emotes | How to unlock emotes
If you’re looking for more traditional Apex Legends emotes, which you can assign to a button and perform whenever you like, then I’m afraid you’re going to be disappointed. Instead, Apex Legends offers quips and finishers. The quips are voice lines which the character will say during an intro sequence and after achieving a kill. The finishers are finishing blows that can be performed on downed enemies.
While there aren’t yet any Apex Legends emotes, there are still ways of impressing your friends and fellow players with rarer quips and finishers. If this isn’t satisfaction enough for you, it’s always possible that “proper” emotes will be added to the game as it evolves.
Apex Legends Emotes | Can you dab or Floss dance?
It’s hard not to pair Fortnite with dabbing and Floss dancing (Flossing!). The game has now become synonymous with silly dances. So, are the Apex Legends dab emote and Apex Legends floss dance emote actually things? No, at least not currently.
If you’re looking to bust some moves in Apex Legends, there are a few finishers that incorporate dance. These are Gibraltar’s War Cry, Pathfinder’s First Finisher, and Mirage’s First Finisher.
