Red Dead Online Stranger Missions Not Working – Is There a Fix?

The Red Dead Online beta is, as you’d expect, beset with teething problems. One of the more regularly occuring issues that players have encountered is the Red Dead Online stranger missions not working bug. As Rockstar continue to monitor and fix their online multiplayer mode, can we expect a Red Dead Online stranger missions not working fix sometime soon?

Red Dead Online Stranger Missions Not Working – What’s the Problem?

Like Red Dead Redemption 2, Red Dead Online sees you come across a variety of NPCs on the frontier that you can choose to help or not. These side missions usually don’t take too long to complete, and you’re always rewarded for your efforts if you do choose to aid them with their problems.

The issue, however, is that players aren’t able to begin or finish these side quests. Plenty of gamers have taken to Rockstar’s official forums and the Red Dead Redemption Reddit page to state that there’s a bug that is stopping them from progressing in these missions. Whether it’s that waypoint markers don’t show up, accepting missions to begin with, or something else entirely, players can’t access these stranger missions.

Red Dead Online Stranger Missions Not Working – Is There a Fix?

Not right now. Rockstar is hard at work ironing out any and all glitches that they come across, but they haven’t stated that a fix for this particular issue is incoming. To be fair to them, if they did this for every bug, they’d be here all day and never actually resolve the issues.

If you’ve been affected by this error, your best bet is to flag it up with Rockstar via this feedback form. If enough players send it back to Rockstar, they’ll likely push it to the front of their “to do” list and hopefully fix it before too long.
