Fallout 76 System Requirements – Minimum Requirements to Run Fallout 76

Unfortunately, it seems as though Fallout 76 is quite the demanding game. This comes as no surprise, however, as the game is massive, and always online to boot. If you follow the minimum specs, you will be able to run the game, but perhaps not at 1080p 60fps.

The minimum requirements to run Fallout 76 on PC are quite hefty (especially in the CPU department), and can be found below:

  • OS: Windows 7, 8, or 10 (64-bit)
  • CPU
    • AMD: Ryzen 3 1300X 3.5 GHz or similar
    • Intel: Intel Core i7 4790 3.6 GHz
  • GPU
    • AMD: Radeon R9 285 2 GB or similar
    • NVIDIA: GTX 780 3 GB
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Storage: At least 60 GB free space

Fallout 76 System Requirements – Recommended Requirements to Run Fallout 76

If you think the minimum system requirements to run Fallout 76 on PC are pretty intense, then you might want to sit down for the recommended system requirements. You’ll need to have parted with a bunch of cash for these components, as they are all big-hitters. Thankfully, you’ll likely be able to run the game in 4K and at a high framerate if you have all of the following components installed in your rig.

  • OS: Windows 7, 8, or 10 (64-bit)
  • CPU
    • AMD: Ryzen 5 1500X 3.5 GHz
    • Intel: Intel Core i7 4790 3.6 GHz
  • GPU
    • AMD: R9 290X 4 GB
    • NVIDIA: GTX 970 4 GB
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Storage: At least 60 GB of free space

You’ll notice that aside from the recommended GPU requirements, everything in Fallout 76’s recommended system requirements is the same as in its minimum. Unusually, this includes the CPU. The recommended CPU is the same as the minimum. This means that Fallout 76 is a particularly CPU-intensive game.
