Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is out next month, but the playable open beta of the new Blackout mode is available right now on PS4. If you don’t know, Blackout is Black Ops 4‘s version of battle royale and the Call of Duty answer to Fortnite, therefore it’s highly anticipated. However, some people are having difficulty accessing the beta and are getting a recurring error message. So what is the Black Ops 4 Blackout the lobby is not joinable error? Let’s have a look, and see if there are any potential fixes available.
What is the Black Ops 4 Blackout The Lobby Is Not Joinable Error?
To get into a game of Black Ops 4 you need to join a lobby, either via matchmaking or with friends. Unfortunately sometimes you’ll get an error message that reads ‘The Lobby Is Not Joinable’. There should not be any reason for this error, especially as ‘Unable To Join’ is a more common error message. Reportedly ‘The Lobby Is Not Joinable’ message will keep on happening despite multiple attempts to use matchmaking to join a match. It’s even more common in a direct friends match, where it’s no less frustrating.
How To Fix The Lobby Is Not Joinable Error
There is no single fix for ‘The Lobby Is Not Joinable’ error, unfortunately. The most basic and standard fix is to quit to dashboard (if you’re playing on PS4), manually close the game, and restart. We had this error happen to us and this is the way we fixed it.
Unfortunately if you’re trying to join a lobby with friends and get the message, the solution may be more complicated. Your router or console may need restarting, or alternatively try joining a game and then inviting your friends from within the game, rather than a lobby. That may be more difficult with Blackout however, especially if the places fill up fast. Fixing this message is, sadly, just trial-and-error at this stage, along with a lot of restarting. Hopefully it won’t be like this in the final game…
