Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox One: Will Cyberpunk 2077 Be on Xbox One?

CD Projekt Red‘s upcoming open-world RPG, Cyberpunk 2077, has been on everyone’s minds. And with the recent hearty gameplay reveal, it’s a topic of conversation now more than ever. So what platforms can you expect for this game: Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox One? Cyberpunk 2077 PS4? PC? We’ve already gotten some confirmation regarding what the game isn’t coming to, sorry VR fans. Below are the details on what hardware you’ll be able to download this title on, with an emphasis on its future with Microsoft.

Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox One: Will Cyberpunk 2077 Be Coming to Xbox One?

With the story trailer having debuted on Microsoft’s stage during E3 2018, it’s clear that Cyberpunk 2077 will release on Xbox. The big question is: Xbox One or next gen hardware? The answer, as of now, seems to be both. The team is aiming for a current generation release. At the same time, we’re likely to see a cross gen release for this game. With the game still in the trenches of development it makes sense that it would release towards the end of the current gen’s cycle: releasing on both current and next gen hardware.

You can expect the game to make its way to the PlayStation 4 and PC as well. There’s no plan for the Nintendo Switch which is likely due to the hardware’s lack of power. The Switch also presents an issue considering that the likely cross-gen release puts Nintendo in an awkward spot, as they just released their console last year.

The three platforms the game is releasing to are already listed on the bottom of Cyberpunk 2077‘s official website. We’re still waiting on a release date, or even a window, regarding this massive entry. Likewise, there’s no word on preorders, special editions, or pricing. Although as a AAA game it’s safe to prepare for a $59.99 price tag.
