Fortnite‘s 5.30 Update has officially landed, and the latest patch for Epic Games‘ battle royale title has brought with it a ton of new skins, items, bug fixes and more. Gamers have been poring over all of the details from Fortnite’s 5.30 update but, under the hood, dataminers have also been hard at work trying to discover anything that hasn’t yet been released. They’ve been successful in uncovering a couple of new weapons, including a brand new grenade. Yes, a Fortnite Legendary impulse grenade is (probably) on the way.

What is this new grenade that’s been found then? According to reputable Fortnite data miners DieBuddies, the Fortnite Legendary Impulse Grenade is set to land in Fortnite in the last week of August. This is, of course, mere speculation at this point. With DieBuddies sporting a Twitter following over 205,000, however, it seems that they have a good reputation for divulging Fortnite secrets ahead of their official release. Don’t be surprised if the rumors prove to be true and we see the arrival of a new throwable weapon soon.

What Can the Fortnite Legendary Impulse Grenade do?
If the legendary impulse grenade does land next week, it will become an ultra-rare version of the fifth grenade type in Fortnite. Currently, the quintet available are the standard grenade, smoke grenade, the clinger, the boogie bomb and the standard impulse grenade. The impulse grenade, a rare consumable itself in Fortnite, is available to use in both PvE and PvP game modes, and knocks opposing players back upon detonation. Expect to see the legendary version cause even more carnage than its predecessor.
The chances of encountering a legendary impulse grenade will be extremely slim. The standard impulse grenade is rare enough to find, so finding a legendary version in Fortnite will be tough.
