The Far Cry 5 expansions DLC release dates are “coming soon,” according to Ubisoft, but when exactly will we be able to play the new expansions? Far Cry 5 season pass owners will no doubt be wondering when Dead Living Zombies, Hours of Darkness and Lost on Mars will release. Here’s what we know so far about the new Far Cry 5 DLC release date, and when players can expect to gain access to the new content.
When Will The Far Cry 5 Expansions Come Out: DLC Release Date Predictions?
Although Ubisoft hasn’t yet announced when Dead Living Zombies, Hours of Darkness and Lost on Mars are planned to launch, we can estimate a release date based on previous games in the franchise and their expansion launch dates.
Far Cry 3 launched on November 29, 2012, and the Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon expansion came out on April 30, 2013. That’s quite a lengthy delay between the base game release and its crazy expansion.
Far Cry 4, however, had DLCs launching only a couple of months after its November 18, 2014 release. Escape From Durgesh Prison came out the following January, Overrun launched in February and Valley of the Yetis released in March.
We’ve already seen a gameplay trailer for the Far Cry 5 season pass content, so we know at least a section of each expansion is playable. If Far Cry 5 follows the Far Cry 4 way of doing things, I’d expect a new expansion towards the end of May. Subsequent expansion releases would then be expected every month or so.
However, with Far Cry 5 Arcade also getting post-launch content and support, it’s possible that the season pass expansions will be staggered and released more slowly.
Far Cry 5 DLC Dates: Which Expansion Will Launch First?
Though the official artwork may suggest otherwise, the first Far Cry 5 expansion will be Hours of Darkness, followed by Lost on Mars and, finally, Dead Living Zombies.
