[image1]A kid-friendly and almost cloyingly-cute strategy game slated for release in late August, Defendin’ DePenguin is pretty much what its title suggests: a penguin-themed tower-defense game.

You probably already know the basic drill: pengie-style village, road full of twists and turns running through it, enemy animals start rolling into your territory to steal all your fish, various defensive tower…

Chris Hudak is a writer, former San Francisco Zoo penguin recorder, frequent-flyer junkie, self-proclaimed lucid dream expert, poolshark-in-minnow’s-clothing, “student” of all things Japanese, borderline alcoholic (see “writer”), video-gamer-with-a-life, and moonlighting, kinda-sorta actor in his copious spare time. He writes weird fiction, and contributes articles to Playboy, Wired, The Toronto Star, and whoever else has money. Chris is the protagonist of the Harlan Ellison short story “Keyboard”—no, really—and someday wants a house in Walt Disney World.

Star Citizen is an upcoming space trading and combat simulator video game for Microsoft Windows. Star Citizen will consist of two main components: first person space combat and trading in a massively multiplayer persistent universe and customizable private servers (known as Star Citizen), and a branching single-player game (known as Squadron 42).
