Total War: Arena Open for Closed Alpha Sign-ups

Sega has announced that sign-ups for the Closed Alpha for Total War: ARENA, the free-to-play, team-based strategy game based on the veteran series, is now open.

As previewed by Daniel Bischoff earlier today, Total War: ARENA is a multiplayer real-time strategy title developed by a separate team at Creative Assembly that pits two teams of ten against each other. Each player controls an iconic commander and three units, both of which can level up for better skills and equipment.

Total War: ARENA is exclusive to PC, but I wouldn't be surprised if it jumped to a tablet format in the future. Sign-ups for the Closed Alpha can be found at the official page.
