Lords of the Fallen Co-Op Cant Pick Up Items

Lords of the Fallen Co-Op: Can’t Loot Items

If you’re playing Lords of the Fallen, you might notice that in co-op, only the host gets most of the loot. While any player can pick up items dropped by mobs, pre-placed items, like those in chests, sitting on dead bodies, or from bosses, can only be obtained by the host. Considering that you’re supposed to be able to play the game together from start to finish, it might seem like it’s a bug that you’re not getting items in co-op in Lords of the Fallen. However, it’s actually supposed to work this way.

Why can’t I see and pick up items in co-op in Lords of the Fallen

If you join a co-op game in Lords of the Fallen, you can’t pick up any pre-placed items or boss loot. Unfortunately, that means that most weapons, armor, upgrades, and key items are out of your reach. Again, this isn’t a bug. For some reason, the devs decided to make things this way on purpose.

More Lords of the Fallen (2023)

The only fix for this is to hope you have a benevolent host. They can still find and earn items as usual, and if they drop them, you can pick them up. Unfortunately, this is the only way for you to get any weapons and armor outside of those sold by vendors or dropped by regular enemies.

It has led to significant discussions in the gaming community, with many players expressing their discontent. This design choice seems counterintuitive, especially in a game that encourages cooperative play. By not sharing the loot equally among players, it unintentionally discourages true team collaboration.

However, this dynamic can create a hierarchy between the host and the joining player, making the latter feel like a secondary participant rather than an equal partner. Many speculate that this decision might be a method to prevent item duplication or to encourage multiple playthroughs. Regardless, it’s essential to communicate with your co-op partner and strategize to ensure everyone gets their fair share.
