Starfield Terror Brew Coffee Beans Markieff Sutherland or Terrabrew

Starfield Terror Brew: Should You Give Coffee Beans to Markieff Sutherland or TerraBrew?

The Starfield Terror Brew quest ends with two choices, making players make the choice between giving the exotic coffee beans to either Markieff Sutherland or TerraBrew. Markieff, who is found dining in Residential District of New Atlantis, is the original quest giver and he says he wants the coffee beans due to his refined tastes. However, he is a bit pompous and rather openly says that he likes having other people serve him. So if Markieff isn’t to your liking, another option presents itself after defeating the predator with the coffee beans inside of it and optionally reading the data slate that falls out of it. Here’s whether you should give the coffee beans to Markieff or give it to Terrabrew.

Who should you give coffee beans in the Starfield Terror Brew quest?

You should give the exotic coffee beans to Terrabrew in the Starfield Terror Brew quest for the additional credits.

If you fast travel to the Commercial District of New Atlantis, you’ll find a Terrabrew Manager walking around the Terrabrew Coffee stand near Enhance. Speaking with the manager, she reveals that she is the one who originally requested Markieff to procure the beans. Deciding to give the coffee beans to her will earn you 3,000 credits.

On the flipside, if you choose to hand it over to Markieff instead, he only gives you 2,000 credits. In other words, he pretty much had you do the majority of the work while he wines and dines at the hotel. So though the Terrabrew Manager says that she will simply destroy the coffee beans to eliminate a potential competitor, there’s no other use for the beans, so you might as well go with her instead.

If you head to Markieff after giving the beans to Terrabrew, he will comment that the tracking device of the predator is standing still but you haven’t returned the beans to him yet. Giving the beans to Markieff also doesn’t seem to block you from any other quests, as he doesn’t have any more requests to give. Meanwhile, if you give the beans to Markieff, the Terrabrew Manager doesn’t spawn.

Either way you go, you will earn 150 XP for completing the mission. Given how laborious this mission is, having to hop several planets to find the predator in the first place, that’s the real reward in our eyes.
