The Baldur’s Gate 3 Phalar Aluve location is not too difficult to find in the Underdark, but it can be easy to miss. The sword is a martial versatile weapon that has the ability to create a melody that can affect nearby creatures. It can essentially provide a Bless-like effect on friendly party members or a Bane-like effect on enemies within a 6-meter radius. To grab this holy longsword, though, you’ll need to pass a skill check first. Here’s where to find the Phalar Aluve sword in the Underdark in BG3.
Where to find Baldur’s Gate 3 Phalar Aluve location
The Phalar Aluve location is at the coordinates X 118, Y -191 in the Underdark.
The closest waypoint is the “Underdark – Selunite Outpost” which you can find after solving the intricate moon puzzle in the basement of the goblin-filled castle to the far west of the Act 1 map. You’ll need to locate the missing druid Halsin by visiting this castle as part of the story anyway, so this optional puzzle isn’t too far off the beaten path.
Once you figure out how to turn off the gate turrets in the Selunite Outpost, all you need to do is walk down the entrance steps. A dead minotaur, the latest victim of the turret projectiles, should be on the staircase. From there, you need to continue to head down and then make a sharp left. There are two short paths to the Phalar Aluve altar, and taking either one is fine.
Once you reach the stone with the Phalar Aluve embedded in it, you can pull it out using a DC 15 Strength check or a DC 15 Religion check. We recommend using the Enhance Ability spell to gain advantage on whichever check you go for. Being a Drow will help you understand the blade’s inscription, while being a Cleric of Eilistraee will allow you to pull the sword without needing a check whatsoever.
