The Baldur’s Gate 3 Karlach location can be tough to find since this companion is tucked away on the overworld map. If you want to know where to find Karlach, you need to explore the northwestern region area relative to Emerald Grove. But there are many distractions along the way and it’s easy to miss her if you take the wrong turn. Fortunately, there is a quest that you can track that will provide a general location of where she’s waiting. Here are some directions on how to reach and recruit Karlach in BG3.
Where to find Baldur’s Gate 3 Karlach
To find Karlach, you need to find the Risen Road from the Forest at around coordinates X 111, Y 502.
From the Emerald Grove, you can march west where you can find either the Owlbear Cave or the Blighted Village. North of this, you’ll find another road where you’ll meet Scratch the Dog. Even further up you can find a spot where you can jump across the river and find the Risen Road. Head east and you’ll reach a dead end where you’ll find Karlach waiting for you.
The easiest way to find your way to her is to recruit Wyll from Emerald Grove. He can be found helping a group of kids train with swords as they swipe at some practice dummies in the middle of town. Wyll will offer a companion quest where he’ll ask you to hunt down a commander from the Hells, which just happens to be Karlach. A marker on the map will show you the general region where she can be found.
As you might have guessed, though, bringing Wyll along in the party will cause a heated confrontation between him and Karlach. However, with some choice dialogue options and successful skill checks, you can make Wyll see reason. Otherwise, if you haven’t recruited Wyll yet and you found Karlach without him, Wyll will then appear at camp trying to hunt her down.
