Dead Space Remake Backbreaker Not Working

Dead Space Remake Backbreaker Not Working: How To Fix Broken Trophy/Achievement

Dead Space Remake sees the return of Isaac’s classic stomp melee attack, which is key in finishing off recently de-limbed necromorphs and essential to good ammo conservation in the survival horror. However, the Backbreaker achievement, which requires you to kill 10 enemies with a stomp attack often isn’t triggering for players who’ve stomped more than their fair share of enemies. While nowhere near as hard as an Impossible Mode run, the completion method isn’t the easiest for the Backbreaker trophy, so we’ll explain how to fix it if it’s not working.

Dead Space Remake: How to fix Backbreaker not working

While not exactly bugged, the Backbreaker trophy requirement is a bit more specific than it lets on — Isaac needs to use his stomp to eliminate enemies that can only be killed with a single stomp. So, any enemy that dies in one stomp, basically.

We’d recommend looking for Swarmers to easily stomp away, they often burst from the Pregnants once you take care of them without the use of fire. You can also earn the achievement by killing the spider-like enemies that split off from the tall, humanoid Divider enemies too.

Achievement hunting and 100% completion take time, so check out our guide on every Dead Space Remake Marker Fragment location to save yourself some time, or for a laugh, check out one of the sillier Impossible Mode rewards.
