Bravely Default Sales Surpass One Million

Bravely Default

, the 3DS-exclusive Japanese role-playing game from Square Enix, has now sold over one million copies.
The sales milestone was announced on the game's official Twitter account, and was first reported by Dengeki Online. 400,000 of those sales were made in Japan, while the remaining 600,000 were (obviously) sold in the west.

A sequel to Bravely Default is in the works, so the series will most definitely continue. On top of that, the game's success has made it readily evident to Square Enix that there's still very much a desire among core gamers for classic JRPGs. Here's to hoping that knowledge influences the development of the upcoming Final Fantasy XV, despite the fact that it's taking a more action-heavy approach.
