Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter is at it again, this time weighing in on the current state of Nintendo and how the company should move forward.
"Times may have passed them by," he explained on the latest episode of Pach-Attack! "And on the handheld side, I don't think there is anything they can do to beat the onslaught of mobile. So there is an old, old, old saying if you can't beat them join them. I would encourage them to think about putting old titles… onto the mobile platform from the GBA era."
As far as directly competing with smart devices like Apple's tablet line, Pachter went on to add, "I don't think Nintendo can compete with the iPad. I don't think it makes any sense for them to."
Do you agree with Pachter's assessment? Are Nintendo's new strategies for the future enough to turn the company around?
