With Call of Duty 2024 leaks sending the internet into a frenzy, many are looking to confirm that Treyarch will be making the next CoD game and if it will be Black Ops 6 Here’s what we know so far about the Call of Duty 2024 release.
Is Call of Duty 2024 being made by Treyarch?
It’s expected that Treyarch is making Call of Duty 2024. However, there has been no official confirmation.
Since making Black Ops Cold War, Treyarch has been supplementing Vanguard and Warzone with content, as well bolstering Cold War’s arsenal of maps and weapons. Clearly some of the development team are hard at work on existing CoD games, but what about the rest of them?
Treyarch’s latest blog post confirms that they will continue to update Black Ops: Cold War and other Call of Duty games through 2022. However, the blog post does not feature any mention of the game that’s coming after Modern Warfare 2 2022.
It’s normal for both Activision and all Call of Duty developers to play their hands incredibly close to their chests, only revealing what they’ve been working on months before the release date. Therefore, news about Call of Duty 2024 isn’t expected to be officially confirmed until earlier that year. However, what with the leaks currently doing the rounds, there’s potential for Activision to buck the trend and show what’s next for Call of Duty a little bit earlier than normal.
As and when more information is officially confirmed (or leaked) about Call of Duty 2024, GameRevolution will be there to report on the details. Stay tuned, Black Ops fans!
In other gaming news, Ubisoft is set to close a variety of older games servers including Assasin’s Creed and Far Cry. ComixZone is one of many new releases for Nintendo Switch. There are more rumors about a Nintendo Switch 2 release.
